OUR KITCHEN

Promoting healthy habits in childhood and beyond.

Our preschool offers children and staff daily breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. Meals and snacks are prepared daily by our in-house chef in our very own kitchen. We offer seasonal menus which change twice per year to offer only the freshest local ingredients, carefully selected by our chef. Our 4 weekly menus rotate throughout the month to offer a variety of meals, while allowing children to be exposed to the same ingredients prepared in different forms. All menus are designed by our collaborative dietician, in accordance with Canada's food guide recommendations for children's nutrition.

MONDAY

BREAKFAST: Cereal & milk

LUNCH: Vegetarian chilli with whole grain crackers & cheese, Fresh seasonal fruit

PM SNACK: Yogurt & granola

TUESDAY

BREAKFAST: Homemade oatmeal muffins & milk

LUNCH: Butternut squash macaroni and cheese & green salad, Fresh seasonal fruit

PM SNACK: Fresh veggies with whole wheat pita & dip

WEDNESDAY

BREAKFAST: Toast with jam & milk

LUNCH: Chicken souvlaki bites, veggie rice & pita, Fresh seasonal fruit

PM SNACK: Fruit salad with cubed cheese

THURSDAY

BREAKFAST: Oatmeal with fruit & milk

LUNCH: Shepherd’s pie, Fresh seasonal fruit

PM SNACK: English muffin with cottage cheese

FRIDAY

BREAKFAST: Bagel with cream cheese & milk

LUNCH: Bean and veggie burrito & couscous salad, Fresh seasonal fruit

PM SNACK: Apple sauce & crackers
